RosemarieMaddieMD1MADDI, Rosemarie, MD, of Newton, prominent physician, anesthesiologist, and teacher passed away on October 21, 2013 after battling with Alzheimer’s disease for eight years. In addition to full time duties at Brigham and Women’s, Dr. Maddi authored or coauthored twenty original research papers on anesthesia in cardiac patients. Her teaching included eight visiting Professorships at major hospitals in Moscow, Beijing, and Bethesda Naval Hospital in Washington. She served on panels and committees with scientific, charitable and ethical foci. Dr. Maddi served as Chair, Vice-chair, and President of the Massachusetts Society of Anesthesiologists.
